I like to scan stuff from books sometimes, but I hate dealing
with bad OCR.* I've been doing OCR for... a long time - and the
tools have always sucked for it.* 2015 tools suck nearly as
badly as the tools in 199x. Anyway, found a nice tool here.*
Lets you dewarp pages.* You know when the edge is curled in the
middle of the book binding?* Yeah, that.* Anyway, this has a
neat grid you can pull around in 3D.* You match the page warp by
eye and it'll fix the page for you. The automatic mode does a
nice job too.* Better than the automatic features by Google and
stuff, which are nice.. but suffer the same problems as all ocr
software usually does. As always, the most amazing stuff comes
from Russia.* love dem programmers. http://scantailor.org/
