There's always an "up" from wherever you are.
Works great when confused. I analogize confusion or uncertainty
to being stuck in mazes on paper. Move out of the maze
temporarily to see the whole maze at once, and from there you
can trace your path from end to start, then go back into the
maze and know where to go.

Or crumble up the paper you're in and stay out of the maze, but
once you have that "up" perspective from wherever you are, it's
easier to dive back into the maze and move around more easily.
