I go from obsession to obsession. Lately it's been the Drakon
visual programming language. I spent all day Saturday going
through the laborious [and fun for me] process of figuring out
how to turn a Russian-only book on Algorithms written by this
awesome 78 yr old Russian Space Engineer into English. I _could_
struggle through it in Russian but also, I don't care for
  reading.

  But I'll watch a video.

So, from Russian PDF --> long chain of splitting, translating,
converting from format to format, text to speech (including
getting my computer to speak Russian for an hour or two), and
ending up with TWO split up "books in video format" that
  unfortunately have mismatched page numbers.

I automated everything as best I could but now that I have to go
page-by-page and line them up, I got bored. But I got this far
  at least:

and when I get the patience to line up the other pages, I'll
have a 520 page Russian/English both-ears text that plays on
  youtube.

Will I finish? I dunno. I'm suddenly interested in being linked
to Waddle Dee of the Kirby Universe by one of my
fans/followers/friends on Vine when he made that little tribute,
so the other 500 pages of the now dual-language spoken/videofied
book will likely wait for a bit for me to finish.
