Nice. Looks like I'm on the historical path to learning Java.
I'm learning Emacs and Lisp and the guy that invented #Java
later on, wrote the first #Unix compatible Emacs/Lisp. Like
other things I get excited about, I often abandon without shame
but I enjoy myself in the process :) [just so you know, I'm not
recommending doing what I'm doing - just sharing the good time
I'm having] James Gosling, who would later invent NeWS and the
Java programming language, wrote Gosling Emacs in 1981. The
first Emacs-like editor to run on Unix, Gosling Emacs was
written in C and used Mocklisp, a language with Lisp-like
  syntax, as an extension language.?
