The artificial segmentation into "Schools of Thought", while
useful, has become an embedded part of Western Civilization.
We have "from an economic point of view.. but then from a
philosophical point of view but then from a psychological point
of view"... and while it's not the worst way to do things, it
sometimes misses out on something important:
Putting it all together. Sometimes, when the silos of knowledge
are kept in their University categories, theres a lot of stuff
that's going to be missed.
There are some questions that don't fit well into *any* of the
University silos. So, they become irrelevant questions to
academia that don't get asked - there's no room for those
questions.
