The artificial segmentation into "Schools of Thought", while
  useful, has become an embedded part of Western Civilization.

  We have "from an economic point of view.. but then from a
  philosophical point of view but then from a psychological point
  of view"... and while it's not the worst way to do things, it
  sometimes misses out on something important:

  Putting it all together. Sometimes, when the silos of knowledge
  are kept in their University categories, theres a lot of stuff
  that's going to be missed.

  There are some questions that don't fit well into *any* of the
  University silos. So, they become irrelevant questions to
  academia that don't get asked - there's no room for those
  questions.
