  like comparison lists.* I also love downloading and evaluating
  software and with so many free/free-open-source* packages on
  this list, I've been having fun downloading and checking out
  what they can do.* I don't need them for GIS, but since GIS
  involves image and data manipulation, I can repurpose them for
  other things.
