True 'dat. I believed it was too obtuse to bother with 'til last
  year at 42, and then when I started finally embarking on a
  serious study I was like, "Wait, that's it?" Still entertains me
  though and it _does_ help making more and better persuasive
  arguments, so its value to rhetoric is amazing.
