Yeah, 'cause when we die, all that's left of us here on this
planet besides whatever physical remains their are are the
stories people tell.
If your life story is summed up as "Raped." well... that's not
the best story to leave behind I suppose. I'd take rape over
death as well. There's therapy. There's medicine. There's
drinking, drugs, entertainment and all sorts of coping
mechanisms. But when you're dead, well, you're dead. Oh
absolutely. I'm not justifying rape. Anything that leads to
PTSD/shell-shock/anything that gives you flashbacks whenever you
close your eyes, is in the category of "A Very Bad Thing".
They're in the realm of "a fate worse than death".
I'm sympathetic to all people who are traumatized for whatever
reason.
I was just speaking for myself regarding rape/vs/death. Some
people chose suicide after being rape or other traumas like
surviving war - and I'm sympathetic. I just like ife and have
gone through a lot to get _here_ and I want to continue as long
as possible smile emoticon But I can't speak for other people.
