I'd be ok with any system that is put into place. I was ready
  for metric as a kid in the USA. I'm 43 years old now and it
  *still* hasn't happened and once the EU came together, I think
  the US has less reason to change over just yet as it's now
  become part of "our identity" as 'not the EU'.

  Sounds silly, I know... but nations can be strange like that, as
  nations are made of people, and people find excuses for doing
  things the way they've always done them.

  I don't think metric or any system is the magic bullet, and
  people who work in Professions use whatever systems their
  professions require. The trouble is regular people. People not
  accustomed to Imperial get confused when they come over here,
  and people over here get confused when they go over to Metric
  countries.

  I'm sure eventually it'll all even out. Who knows, maybe there
  will be a system based upon 7s replacing all the 10s. Stranger
  things have happened tongue emoticon

  But I'm sure the 10s will win out eventually on a global level.
