I have no doubt it could.
Nevertheless, *any and all issues* regarding potential
'problems' with artificial intelligence are within the _social_
realm among human beings, because human beings are starting the
whole thing, doing it, and hopefully doing it right. Nowhere
else. Our abilities to replicate processes that we comprehend,
translating them into abstractions like numbers and algorithms,
then using those abstractions to create somewhat of a
replication of real world processes using materials we find
laying around on earth and toying with are without question.

I get the suspicion you may have thought I was trying to prove a
uniqueness to humanity or something about God. I was not and if
so, you were wrong. I was speaking strictly of AI and "who is
  responsible".

But there is no need for apology. Your silence will be apology
  enough tongue emoticon

And as always, thank you. Sword sharpens sword and yet again,
you've given me the sword with which to sharpen and clarify my
own thoughts on the matter even further. I seek continual
improvement and refinement, so thank you smile emoticon
