Oh, I don't believe it's atomistic help because I don't believe
  we're numbers.

  I'm an individualist of sorts and here's why I feel it's
  important:

  People tend to follow similar patterns no matter what society
  we're under.

  People tend to still go to work, come home, want to be
  entertained at some point, have families, gossip about the
  neighbors, complain about the weather, and say thanks once in a
  while. Humans like to discuss issues of global importance that
  they can't fix, whether it be the decisions of Loki the sky God,
  or this thing called "society" that we can't fix, or the weather
  we can't change, and say, "If I was in charge... this is how I'd
  do things".

  I do it. You do it. We all seem to do it. But I'm biased - I
  think most hierarchies are a farce - roleplaying gone too far-
  and in the end, it's just people who forgot they were playing.
