It's not anybody's fault really. I believe we're taught young to
  "stay in context"... and we end up missing the connections that
  hide in our everyday language.

  Look at ALL the analogies between money and other things. Money
  and love. Money and friendship. Money and emotions. Even life.
  "Cost lives". There's a life-currency. Amazing when you see the
  scope of our cultural connections.
