Here's the thing: AI if it's ever successful, is not so
  different from a parent having kids. All the human values will
  be imprinted but will they stick?

  Who knows? But a lot of it will, unless it's really crappily
  programmed.

  AI may exceed its programming. But that doesn't mean it will or
  even _can_ reject it. It's built upon it, just like we're built
  on ours but go our own way as well.   Fear of AI is equivalent
  to fear of parenting.
