I really appreciate what you said there. Being accurate is
  important to me, and I try *very hard* to avoid hyperbole. To
  avoid hyperbole, it means not sharing memes much, avoiding
  documentaries generally and researching. After all, we're all on
  the same Internet, so it's not hard to look up a few sites to
  double-check things.

  Yeah, the telephone game; *sigh* -it's really everywhere. And
  we're so easily fooled; all someone has to do is say,
  "Scientists say [x]" or "Statistics show [y]" and we believe it.
  Or we hear horrible news about a person and don't question it
  for a second.I get caught up in it sometimes and I don't like
  that feeling of being manipulated, so I fight it as much as I
  can.
