I remember history; late 19th/early 20th century Scientists were
  pretty sure they finally had it all figured out. And the funny
  thing is, they kinda did. But then comes Einstein, then comes
  booms in technology, then comes the Internet - stuff only the
  Sci-fi authors of the time were even considering as vague
  possibilities, if they were at all. Makes me excited not for
  what we've accomplished, but for what impossible dreams someone
  is having today that will become a reality in 100 years time
  that I couldn't even imagine* :)
