Such is your opinion on art and that's fine. I find concise
over-rated. When I was 11 years old, a NEW newspaper came out,
"USA Today". I was excited! REAL NATIONAL NEWS.

I got into a habit of buying it daily, reading it cover to
cover. "I'm gonna read THE PAPER, 'like a MAN!'".

In each paper was the phrase, "Brevity is the soul of wit."

Yet as I consumed more and more papers, I hungered for depth..
and all I found was "just the facts, ma'am". Too little. Not
enough. I began to dislike excess brevity and didn't find it
  particularly witty.

  So, my bias.

But beyond that, _I don't have a concise philosophical treatment
to give you_ - so my fail is justified and yet, I tell you a
  story instead.

I couldn't leave a question unanswered. A writer writes to write
and hopes the audience finds it acceptable.
