It is similar to a "me myself and I" distinction.
  I tend to believe that "it's all me" though.
  I think the ability to receive the call and do the reporting
  while ALSO being able to run at the same time, is because are
  able to hold several viewpoints simultaneously, even of
  ourselves.

  It's you that's running. It's you that's reporting. It's you
  that are doing both at th same time, reporting the running but
  less likely to report the reporting as it takes place.

  I believe while it "feels like" we are brains in a meatbag for
  lack of a better way to put it... I don't believe we are. Our
  reporting is limited due to the limitations of language and our
  abilities to see ourselves "in full".

  I believe perceptual separation is due to a categorization
  issue; we have our "reporting self" and our "running self"
  cateogirzed into two different mental buckets, allowing them to
  "seem" to be different people.
