Well, in the sciences since the 20s, statistics have gained a
  bit of an excessive foothold. It's hard to escape it, and the
  dependence upon a fictional 'random' or utilizing large
  probability sets that are only self-supporting and cannot be
  compared against reality except in the grossest sense... will
  eventually lead us into a big problem... if it hasn't already.

  But such as it is. Nothing is random, just not fully understood
  yet. Gas in a box; we analogize randomness to gas in a box under
  pressure and heat. But it's not random. Just incalculable at
  present. That can all change.
