nature of emergence.
You're thinking Linear Causation.
If consciousness emerges from the interaction of the complexity
of its parts, this does NOT MEAN the emerging consciousness is
BLOCKED from influencing the very system that is CREATING IT.
I may be missing something basic here, but as well written as it
is, I do not believe your argument is sound. Consciousness is
not a chicken [or] egg situation.
Follow this scenario:
Complex physical system creates beginnings of consciousness.
Beginnings of consciousness back-influences complex physical
processes.
Complex physical system receives feedforward which further
refines consciousnes, which then influences complex physical
system.again.
