If you're going to talk about observer and observed, Tony,
they're NOT REFERRING to people or consciousnesses. *sigh* Here:
Wikipedia. Don't take it seriously if you like too but you'd be
  foolish.
In science, the term observer effect refers to changes that the
act of observation will make on a phenomenon being observed.
This is often the result of instruments that, by necessity,
alter the state of what they measure in some manner.

Nothing about consciousness. It's about changes being made to a
state by an outside force that's "looking at" or "communicating
with". It's VERY UNFORTUNATE that they chose the terms
"observer" and "observed" because it has led to decades of
confused people thinking it means "people looking at".

That's not what it means at all. It never meant that. You may
decide the scientific community a whole bunch of kooks if you
like. I can't help that. But the concept of consciousness having
*anything* to do with the observer effect is a mistake people
made and popularized through the years that has nothing to do
with the principles they're referrng to.

The only linking point is the mistake they made using
  observer/observed.

It's like Science using the word THEORY. It has led to a lot of
people thinking "theory of evolution" means "only a theory" and
not the scientific definition of theory.

But so be it. Can't fix willful ignorance if that's your choice.
I don't need to convince you. I'm not your teacher. You're not
my student. You may decide the scientific community a whole
bunch of kooks if you like. I can't help that. But the concept

DNA in profile pic, nice DNA sequence in the background.
The fault was mine in my assumptions, and I apologize for that.
I'm not trying to convert anyone to science here.
  I'm bad at reading people.
