Procrastinate.
That's my #1 key to focus.
If you have a good "oh crap I'd better get this done NOW!"
sense, then get all the other stuff done. Cut your toenails.
Brush your hair. Clean out a garbage can. Stare into the mirror.
Don't distract yourself too much, but let yourself get bored of
procrastinating. [and don't do the highly addictive stuff like
Internet / TV / music - stuff that can take you away for hours
and hours - they're a Time Suck]
Just little things.
Then suddenly, you'll be like. "Ok. I guess I'll do it now."
