When i was 11, I was at a youth group camp retreat for a
weekend. I sat in the main meeting room with a fireplace by
myself. Everybody else was doing other things.
I asked myself, the question, "What would everything look like
if there was no color?"
And for a few minutes, it was as if I could see through my feet,
through the earth, to the end of the universe, look up, see
through the ceiling up through the stars... no colors, no black,
no white.. just... pressure differences or something. I don't
know what I saw. But I could see through everything clearly,
even a colorless, outline-less sun.
It was a neat experience that I recreate whenever I feel like
it. It's just a weird mental trick I'm sure, nothing special
about it. But with that, I've never felt confined to here.
Infinity feels like it's here.
