Oh I pay some attention.* I have friends that are news
followers, and they tell me stuff.* Then I find out more.*
Recently, did some research on the Charlie thing, the day it
happened, because it was big talk. I formed an opinion and now I
can pretend to know what I'm talking about like everybody else.
I hear things - Swiss bank changed something related to the Euro
and people worldwide are shocked and panicking.* Economic
collapse immanent... WWIII may be on its way, etc etc. All
possibilities.* I still have to wake up, make my coffee, pay my
bills.* I'm aware, just not glued. ===]   I watch Doctor Who
when new episodes come out.* That's it.* I'm not anti-TV, I just
  don't have a news-hobby [and I tend to get all caught-up in
current affairs when I do start paying attention to news... and
I have other things I'd rather care about]... and then I start
having... opinions. I like "I dunno.* Don't know a thing about
it.* Will this affect me directly?* No?* Ok, well then go along
and play with your news then. Have fun!" Makes life simpler.*
People usually tell me in person if something's of dire
importance and then I can start researching to figure out what
  opinion I want.
