I just have to take a dose of my own medicine and accept that
emotionally laden appeals are here to stay; it's the nature of
  advertising, marketing, documentaries, politics, internet
debates, media and in nearly all communication. I've been Don
Quixote tilting at windmills about it my whole life - since I
was 8 years old and first realized the TV ad was lying to me
about how Amazing something was. Without even buying it, I saw
how they filmed it, with the gigantic kids with their arms out
to make the toys look even bigger and more detailed... and
announcer guy with the artificially excited voice. "There's lies
in here, even though I really want it. They're lying to me.
They're not supposed to lie. I like them."

And I never got over it and played spot the bullshit ever since.
  I gotta just accept it.
