* Yes; removing concepts a dimension or two away from what's
right in front of us allows us to change the emotional
content more easily... minimizing it in some cases, or
      modifying it in other ways.

One of the best description of evil (personified in the
Devil - and I'm a fan of personification) was that it is the
Devil that shows us everything as it really is, completely
honestly, but before we are prepared to handle it.

Imagine if you could see, for a moment, see your true level
of importance to most people (7 billion at the moment), and
how those who do consider you important really see you - not
the exaggerated ways we imagine they see us (both good and
bad), while ALSO seeing every opinion you have about
yourself, both positive and negative, that is actually
_true_, plus seeing how you will be viewed historically,
along with every dream everybody had _for_ you that you
didn't fulfill, all at a single moment?

*That* would be a moment of Hell if you weren't prepared for
it. The cognitive dissonance would be tremendous

[4]Kenneth Udut [because you'd also be absorbing the
cognitive dissonances of all those people who envisioned you
a certain way... which is something we usually do anytime we
talk to someone who shakes their head at us and goes, "tsk
tsk, I thought you were better than this" - I have to laugh
because I find it one of the more awkward moments in life]
