like that. Says it all. I could replace the pray-ers with a
group of gossiping women, a group of politicians debating about
minutae, and... well.. even us, sitting behind our computers
It goes to the point I manage to offend a lot of people with:
the Engineers are my #1 heroes over any of this. Politicians (of
all stripes) end up providing the funding in some way... the
scientists come up with the theories and the Engineers and
technicians do their best to make it happen... trying not to
offend the sensibilities of the scientist (for their purity of
concepts - Engineers often have to make do and use heuristics
when the science isn't quite there yet) or the politician (don't
waste our money.. even though it's not their money! :P) - and
yet they all work together in a strange kind of triangle that
manages to push things forward.
