That's fair. These are philosophical points; and quite difficult
  ones at that. I believe every language has a right to describe
  the Universe in the best way that it sees fit; and mathematics
  holds the greatest opportunity to do so in a way that's
  rock-solid and less prone to breakage within its borders than
  any other language of description.

  Now for myself, I subscribe a little closer to an embodied
  cognition model of mind; not entirely but it's the direction
  I've been heading. It's a much messier realm and may well turn
  out to be going down the rabbit hole, but I have to investigate.
  I'm not as worried about mathematics; there are geniuses like
  Max who have it covered; computers designed around its
  methodology, people well trained in its way of thinking, and a
  whole incredible system that extends backwards in history for,
  really, thousands of years. The proofs are its strength, even
  when the weakness may be in its axioms. But I wouldn't even
  attempt to 'go there' - I'm not nearly smart or clever enough
