Kenneth Udut, the June 20, 1993 version:

I really should finish this project - I totally forgot about it:

  ''BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL INFORMATIONS SYSTEM

These tips will be used to start a special Bulletin Board
  Service in the area.

  (a few flowcharts and diagrams)

  Let everyone know:

  - What they're supposed to do

  - When they're supposed to do it

  - How others affect their job

  - How what they do affects others

  - Keep them current on how well they're doing

  RESULT: NO SURPRISES

  Documentation:

Project Manual: a description of the work performed during a
  systems development project.

Systems Manual: A complete description of an Information System

User's Manual: Descriptions of a completed information system in
terms that users can understand as well as instructions
regarding the use of the information system.

Programmers Manual: descriptions of all the program development
work that took place during a systems development program

Operators' Manual: descriptions of all the operations procedures
required in running an information system.''

Always planning big. I just didn't get that corporation under me
yet to get these things done; and yes, I said 'yet' :P
