Popular/Unpopular (*condensed version*): It usually only
important in small groups of people, cliques in middle school
(groups of 3 or more) and among closed communities whose
admission requirements are up to the whim of the members and
subject to judgement by the group. Attempting to ''be popular''
in a particular closed community can be a tricky manuver,
because the rest of the group is always asking, ''Is she coming
in? or is he on his way out?''.

Few cliques survive middle/high school and most people abandon
the model, although among isolated communities it can still be
  consider important.
