Alexander Holgate Monahan It's been a tough position to maintain
  sometimes. Friends who are very religious often considered me
  atheist. And atheist friends consider me a wolf in sheep's
  clothing and trying to convert them to spirituality. I believe
  in the basic premise behind the scientific method, but at times
  that are too hasty at rejecting the past and and in following
  fads in the scientific community that lead to grants or tenure.
  The assumption that we are currently at the pinnacle of human
  knowledge is perhaps the most dangerous flaw of modern science.
