Alexander Holgate Monahan It's been a tough position to maintain
sometimes. Friends who are very religious often considered me
atheist. And atheist friends consider me a wolf in sheep's
clothing and trying to convert them to spirituality. I believe
in the basic premise behind the scientific method, but at times
that are too hasty at rejecting the past and and in following
fads in the scientific community that lead to grants or tenure.
The assumption that we are currently at the pinnacle of human
knowledge is perhaps the most dangerous flaw of modern science.
