  certainly have medical uses - but at some future version, they
  will need to have it be a complete video card/monitor
  replacement for any system - to entirely replace the need for a
  flat screen. That's when they will really take off. But most
  technological breakthroughs in computers are pushed forward by
  games, because the demands of gamer...s are far greater than the
  demands for business or science. I love that there are
  extensions for mathematical processing systems that utilize the
  video card's GPU which only were made more powerful due to
  trying to maximize things for games. The3D/4D grid format of
  GPUs makes for a great field to do calculations on... "
