  in the hamp_util: dir . . .* buuuut..... maybe, for
  clarity...... 1) rename the symbol for lzcomp.exe to COMPRESS,
  so that it complies with the UNIX compress 2) rename the symbol
  for lzdcmp.exe to UNCOMPRESS (or UNCOMP*RESS) so that it
  complies with the Unix uncompress Also, if you like (if you're
  the one taking care of hamp_util: that is, ) I have ARC.EXE for
  VMS, as well as MOST, a scrollable text viewer that allows you
  to jump from it to an editor (EDT, TPU, EMACS, or whatever), and
  also has an incredible search function.* The best equivilant
  that I can think of is LIST for the IBM (which is, of course,
  the -best- text lister for PC's ;D ) Thanks in Advance - and
