Just read the tax code for 2014, the first year of mandatory health insurance.  I was expecting to find a check box or something asking if we had health care insurance.  No.  Instead the IRS calls it a 'Shared Responsibility Payment'.  Isn't that just rich.  The IRS is telling us what?   That if we don't have health coverage, and don't cave in to subsidizing the insurance industry, we're creeps not willing to take responsibility leaving widows and orphans out in the street with no medical coverage.  They make it sound like it's all our fault and not the lack of tort reform or something.  Remember when Clinton tried to get health care through in the nineties.  'Tort reform' was the culprit.  Plus the medical industry is so regulated, sued, and sidled with through the roof insurance rates, that hey, it's not their fault.  It's our fault for not making our 'Shared Responsibility Payment'.
You know life is tough enough, for some of us who are not on the government dole.  We're not superior people like all those elected liberals who don't have to read 2800 pages to know what's in it.  We have to sweat for our money.  What's a few hundred for health insurance each month when these poor politicians must figure out a way to spend trillions of dollars to keep our economy afloat.  I mean if some looser can't afford to buy health care insurance he/she/it are just plain not responsible people, things, he, she, it.  I don't know.  They got a new rule for that too, I think.  It's not their fault they have to eat each month and pay the light bill.  They're leeches who aren't willing to share in the responsibility the rest of us socialists are behind one hundred percent.     What's the difference?  'Shared Responsibility Payment' is just a way for the federal government to let you know they care.
How'd they ever come up with that phrase.  Wouldn't it have been better if they could have just been straight with us.  Something like 'potential tax felon, checkbox or 'dirt wad looser work sheet'.
Imagine for a minute being there when they voted on the phrase:
"Item five thousand for hundred and forty three; 'Health insurance check box label'.
       "Let's call it 'scofflaw deviant'."
"No we have to speak on their level.  I mean the average intellect is sixth grade for the American public isn't it?  We gotta put a spin on it.  How about 'you're mama didn't raise no looser' tag."
       "Haw haw."  They all laugh.
"Hey.  Just put a check box on there asking if they have insurance.  It's going to be checked against the database anyway.  Have some faith in people."
"Harvey!  Who let you in here.  What do you think this is, a customer care center or something.  I know.  Let's make people think they're unpatriotic if they don't buy health insurance.  How about something like 'insurance duty fee'."
"Sounds good, but I think we ought let people get on-board and take possession of the law.  We'll call it 'Health Insurance Mandatory Group Payment'.
"Health Insurance?  Naw.  To much media.  People might actually know what you're talking about.  I like the guilty part though.   Make them think they're a drag on society if they don't pay. How about instead of Health Insurance we call it Shared Responsibility.  Leave the mandatory part out."
"Yea, I like it.  Everybody?  How about a vote? ... It's unanimous.
Okay onto item 6,743, the 'Air You Breath adjustment' ..."

They couldn't have chose a better name. How about if they were just straight up about it and called it 'Potential Tax Felon',  or 'Dirt Wad Looser.'  Check the box on line 61, Future Tax Felon, NO, if you don't have insurance.

Have you ever worked in the fields, dug a ditch, slung drywall, mopped floors, gave customer service, cleaned toilets, etc?  I don't know.  It can be scarry out there for the millions of us who are living pay check to pay check and even worse for many who are less than a paycheck beyond the pull date.  And then the feds come in and tell use we have to spend hundreds of dollars a month for an over priced, afraid to move, torted, regulated up the ying yang medical industry to buy over priced health insurance.  Of course when you're the federal government you're spending trillions so whats a few hundred a month if some looser can't afford health care.  He/she/it are not responsible.  A leech who's not willing to share in the responsibility the rest of us socialistic communists are behind one hundred percent.

What's the difference.  'Shared Responsibility Payment' is just a way of the federal government showing how much they care.  You're a looser if you don't let the welfare state, the USA, take charge and tell you how to live your life.  Wouldn't you have liked to have been in on the committee meeting that decided on that title.  It might have gone something like this:
"Item five thousand for hundred and forty three; 'Health insurance check box label'.
       "Let's call it 'scofflaw deviant'."
"No we have to speak down to the American public.  I mean the average intellect is sixth grade?  They won't understand it unless you put a spin on it. I know.  How about 'you're mama didn't raise no looser' tag."

"Health Insurance?  Naw.  To much media.  Plus there are a lot of different types of insurance.   I like the guilty part though.   Make them think they're a drag on society if they don't pay. How about instead of Health Insurance we call it Shared Responsibility.  Leave the mandatory part out."
