Government Apps
It's happened a lot faster than anyone would have thought.  Here it is
the end of 2010 and the media is replete with stories about government
agencies setting up their anonymous reporting apps.
Homeland security recently touted their 'report anything suspicious'
app.  Another article explained how law enforcement instructed Waste
Management garbage truck drivers how to use their cell phones to
report anything out of the ordinary.
Amazingly its the government that's leading this latest wave in the
technical revolution.  Normally industry leads the way, but now it's
government tapping into the capabilities of technological devices to
emulate social networking and report on your neighbor.  The question is
when is it cool or not cool to turn in your neighbor?  Also what denotes
suspicion or 'out of the ordinary'?  The homeland security site didn't
say.
