Gibberish from the Ivory Towers
When we're introduced to a new subject we're often confused by
the vernacular.  The experts seem to hyphenate, truncate,
abbreviate, and paraphrase the subject matter into sound bytes that
only they understand; a gibberish to outsiders.
Add in the Latin verb roots and the people from the ivory towers
have another layer of verbage to add between themselves and the
common man on the street; their student.
Imagine, instead, if we all talked in complete sentences.
Imagine if we worked to communicate in language both the speaker and
the listener understood.  Imagine talking on a one-to-one level with
the student and making sure they had an opportunity to understand.
Imagine if schools mentored.  However the ivory towers can't do that
because it would reduce class sizes and make their job less
important.  How would they support themselves and the bureaucracy of
our institutions of higher learning?
