somehow ran over a metal stake directly outside
our back door this morning, resulting in maximally
deflated tire, and lateness to place of employment.

typing this from hammock in our back yard, beside one
of the little plum trees we planted--"Early Golden Plum."
looking at the /

towering giant in the yard nextdoor.

i got sidetracked after writing 'the.' i went and got my
little mini-bin of tree books, and gathered a couple of the
long, bronzey, smooth-dragon-scaled cones scattered in the
driveway. the tree is so tall the needles are too high up
to distinguish much about. there's some weepingness to it,
long needled tresses on uptilting branches. i came down to
"Norway Spruce." i can't believe how tall. i wonder
how long this One has been here.
