For the first time this year - and probably for the first time in years
- I was able to cycle more than 100 km in one week. It is not much, I
know. There were times when I was able to do over 180 km in one day
(including climbing to the highest mountain in local area) but these
times are long gone. For many years I was able to cycle 100-300 km PER
YEAR. In 2021 it was under 2000 km.
This week was special, anyway. I used my bike instead of a metro/tram
in Prague. Then did a mid-week trip. At Friday there was a shopping
tour. And at Saturday we (me and me wife) a Moulton celebration tour
(it was a birthday of dr. Moulton, the creator of the Moulton
small-wheeled bicycle). It was somewhat crazy idea to use 60 years old
bicycles with just 4-speed hubs for a trip which included dirt paths,
steep hills and so. It was a nice ride anyway. We even visited a cafe
for the first time in almost two years.
