I was a bit unsure if I want to use a slowly expiring release of the
Ubuntu (10.04 - it's 2022 already) so I have decided to upgrade in to
20.04 as it should provide two more years of support.
So I have upgraded today. It was much faster than 1604->18.04 and some
not so well working things magically improved. Namely, I experienced
problems with mouse wheel both with 16.04 and 18.04. They bight be
there before but I never used a wheeled mouse on that computer. Now it
works as expected.
The desktop (the MATE) is also more responsible - there was a problem
with easy window placement before but now it works as expected. It's a
1.6 GHz Core2Duo with an Intel Mobile graphics after all.
My usual stuff seems to be unaffected by upgrade. I noticed no
important improvement but also no visible regressions.
