I once read at the OSNews that some people started to use the Apple
Watch and ended with the traditional mechanical ones. In that time I
was curious about their reasons.
Now I have been using mechanical Luch watches for more than 3 years. I
used to use the Pebble SmartWatch (actually all generations of them: I
started with the - second hand - original Kickstarter Edition Pebble
then got the Pebble Time and finally the Pebble 2). I didn't used them
as a remote terminal for my phone and synchronised them once a day or
even less. I think that I was satisfied with them. There were minor
issues (the first ones died after some time and the Pebble 2 newer
fully worked - but the company ceased to exist before I figured that
something is wrong). I still have the Pebble Time (the Pebble Time
Steel one, actually). They still work well but they serve as an alarm
clock, stopwatch and the timer. I have found that I have little use for
most of their activities. The calendar is nice but I prefer to be less
informed about further work. Counting of my steps has no influence on
my activities. Remote control of music player has little use for me
(moreover it was too unstable when worked with Ubuntu Touch devices).
And the Pebble Steel are relatively heavy (all my mechanical watches
are much lighter).
