We have started to teach almost online-only. Individual visits of
students are possible but lectures have to be on-line (via the Moodle).
It seems to be possible. It even seems to be doable on the ppc64le
Linux.
Today I have found that some more services are unavailable for the IRIX
and old tools here. This time the victim is on-line stream of the ORF
Radio Wien. I have started my SGI O2 to do some stuff and I wanted to
listen the radio... I also cannot ope any news site (the only way is
Logout's gopher proxy for the Czech iDnes server).
I have updated my Ubuntu Touch tablet to the OTA-13. So far no issues
(even the Geocaching app - sort of - works!).
I also started to carry my Gemini PDA on daily basis. The reason is
simple - the govermental COVID-tracking application (eRouska). It might
not be useful but I decided to install and use it when I'm in places
where other people are (at work, in shops and so). I still carry a Palm
for actual use, anyway.
The COVID-19 seems to be all around. We have first case at our
university department (and some students, too).
Yesterday we made a nice short hike (~20km) around the Kimkovice city
and the Hylov spa (in the Czech Republic). There are some new (or
repaired) forest paths so it was much more pleasant trip than in the
past. I made some pictures but they are not good (weather was really
not ideal for taking of pictures). There were just a few other people.
