Yesterday (yes, yesterday was Sunday - the local post office works in
an unusual manner due to the pandemic) we have got a parcel with LR41
batteries. It has been a bit hard to obtain them recently so I have had
to order them in Lithuania (the price was even better than usual local
prices).
Originally I ordered them to revive my Elektronika 5 pen (it's just a
normal pen with integrated Elektronika 5 digital watch). As usual, I
have not used them for this purpose, yet.
Instead we have had to replace the battery in our digital thermometer
(it was the LR41, too). Then my wife asked if it is possible to insert
this battery into her old digital watch (she used them in her teens so
during early 1990s; we recently found them in her parent's house). We
have tried and it started to work!
So we returned to life two older device (the thermometer is just about
10 years old). A sort of success, I think.
