I have decided to update the Touchpad a bit. I think that it can be a
nice portable / secondary machine for some situations. Especially
because I have a good (original) keyboard for it.
It runs the old Cyanogenmod (an Android), you know.
A basic LaTeX distribution is already installed.
An old GNU Octave is also here. When started it weeps that it has to be
updated but it is unable to do it. Aside of this, it works (it saves
plots as images which is not always ideal but it works). To edit Octave
files I can use the Vim Touch.
To read docs there are MuPDF and FBreader. Both works.
Total Commander still works, too.
But what about the Git? The F-Droid has a few clients. The MGit (which
declares itself as a replacement of an old SGit client) epically fails
on the SDF Git setup. As you guess - the SGit works perfectly. I am not
able to sync to a directory accessible by the Octave so manual copying
of files (in the Total Commander) is necessary for now.
For the Gopher I use the Overbite, of course.
The Mastodon is a problem - the Tusky fails so I should look for
something else...
