Floppies + PSION
================

Today I have got the (working!) floppy disk drive for PSION Series 3/3a
devices.It's the Purple Software CYCLONE drive [1].

It  works.  It's  slow  as  a  floppy,  of  course.  It's  use  is  not
straightforward (it  needs the  same directory  structure as  PSION SSD
drives use).  And the PSION  does not like  UNIX line ends  in text/OPL
files, of course. A good way to move stuff if the plptools or the p3nfs
[2] are  not options. Anyone has  a floppy drive available,  I think (I
have two USB ones, for example).

Of course, this  drive is not portable - it  requires external power (a
230V adapter  is provided) and is  bigger and heavier than  the PSION 3
itself (even without the adapter which is bulky and heavy).

Hopefully my standing  desk will not end  in a form of Series  3a on an
aluminium stand with  a external keyboard and floppy... (I  do have all
of  them -  but the  floppy drive  and the  keyboard adapter  cannot be
connected in the same time).
