Yesterday I have had to work with a "modern" Apple keyboard (that thin
metal one with flat white keys). It is connected to our iMac G5 which
normally serves as a multimedia station (for playing of movies, that
is). I never realized before how terrible this keyboard is!
The iMac arrive with a transparent-white Apple keyboard and their
transparent on-button mouse. But its keyboard is now used by my wife
and she likes it (it's connected to her GPD Pocket 2). I also never had
any objection to this keyboard.
Unfortunately I once bought the "modern" Apple keyboard (for my Mac
Mini, I think). At the time there was no cheap older (transparent) one
available so I chose this modern one. I never used it much (I think
that I used something smaller with the Mini).
So yesterday it was the first time when I have had to code on that
keyboard. It's too flat, key travel is too small (yes, U know that is
it way better than on modern Apple laptops!) - I made a lot of typing
errors. I didn't felt so bad even when I used some of foldable
keyboards for old Palms! Terrible experience, that is.
So I have to search for another iMac G5-era keyboard...
