P.S. The text below was written on the Palm Tungsten W and uploaded
with the aPalmFTP. I only slightly re-formatted it on my desktop.
-------------------
I am playing with my Palm Tungsten W. I like it because it is an old
good m68k Palm in its heart. And it has wireless which still can be
used.
Of course it's just GSM/GPRS but t still works here. Of course it is
not as useful as it was in 2002. WAP is no more and WWW is much more
bloated. I can use the Eudora Web browser (it's text-only, similar to
the Lynx) to browse these few remaining http:// sites and to browse
gopherspace via Cameron's web proxy. I can fetch e-mails from the SDF
but not to send them. I can ftp memos and get text files as Palm DOC or
memos. And I can connect to telnet servers (but only if I am prepared
to restart the device after the telnet session).
And I can make phone calls and send and receive SMSs.
It is not too bad actually. The only big problem is my inability to
send e-mails.
Now I am going to send this text (it' a palm memo) by ftp... wish me
luck...
