I got an aluminium Proporta case for the Palm Tungsten W for cheap. It
seems than nobody is interested in such stuff those days. So I thought
that is a good idea to have so durable case.
Well, it's durable and it protects the device well (except the antenna
which is obviously not covered). There also holes big enough to easily
operate the stylus, the on/off button and the SD card. And the case has
2 (TWO!) pockets for spare SDs. All of this is nice.
There is two issues: when the front door is opened then it effectively
limits access to the rightmost keys on the keyboard (the Enter or the
Backspace, for example). I don't think that it's just my problem
because I have relatively long fingers. :-( The second problem is that
the case prevents the device to fit in its cradle. So it cannot be
charged when the case is installed (I don't have a separate charging
cable - does such thing exist at all for the first generation
Tungstens?).
But for occasional use it might be OK. I will see...
