I did come cleaning recently and found several old devices and SIM
cards. So I decided to try different SIM cards with my Palm Pixi Plus
to figure why it refuses to work as a phone (it always shows some
strange SIM error).
The problem is not in the SIMs nor in the possibility that the phone
(which came declared as unused and with any operator-related branding).
The SIM socked is mechanically damaged. It is possible that I damaged
it myself when I inserted the SIM for the first time. I don't think
that I am able to repair it.
So I will keep is as a part of my collection and as a music player. I
cannot do much more with the device as most of the on-line services
which it was designed to uses are or non-existent or no longer
compatible with the device. Even the once available Palm OS emulator
cannot be obtained so there is no chance to run old good Palm OS
applications.
