I will have to accept the fact that the Sony Clie PEG-UX50/U is usable
as a pocket phogging device. It is not brilliant but it is small and it
less or more works as expected.
I experience several issues:
- I have no idea how to easily transfer data from a to the MemoryStick
card. I have had a MemoryStick-to-MicroSD adapter but it is hidden
elsewhere (update: I fond it!)
- no Czech support (at least fonts) - there is no open-source language
pack as it was for OS 2.x-4.x (the GNU Czech)
- dead jog-dial: there is probably nothing to do...
The good thing is that I can exchange data with the Palm III including
DiddleBug drawings (update: beamed images are distorted for some
reasons).
It is also FAST. It is not important for PIM applications but the Palm
III is much slower when running the Plucker.
In theory, I can obtain Bluetooth GPS and use this device for
geocaching (no other one of my PDAs can do that!).
There is also a PDF viewer. One should not expect too much but it is
probably better than nothing.
