Gemini Hub (Re:Xiled)
=====================

I have started my IRIS Indigo [1] to read new phlogs. I have found many
interesting text  from Xiled  [2]. Among others,  there are  some notes
related to the  Gemini PDA clamshell pocket computer.  An attempt to use
the Gemini as a desktop is of course interesting for me.

There is a nice PDF made by  Xiled [4] which describes the setup. But I
am  surprised by  the fact  that the  Gemini USB  hub does  not support
charging.  I just  tried  mine and  it  does. I  connected  the hub  to
Gemini's left USB-C port (as it is  shown in the PDF) then connected an
original charger  for the Gemini  and it evidently charges  the device.
And the Ethernet port in the hub evidently works, too.

If I'm  not mistaken then  such setup  initially didn't worked  for me,
too. But after  some update if started to work.  Of course their design
when only  the left port  can be used for  charging and only  the right
port can be used to connect their proprietary HDMI adapter is annoying.
But I understand that there have been reason for such design.

To be honest, I still have to find a monitor which can be used with the
Gemini (even my EIZO refuses to work with that thing and my beloved SGI
1600SW is obviously too old).
