UX-50 (Re: RPoD)
================

It  seems  that  jynx  [1]  is  very  happy  with  the  new  Sony  Clie
UX-50.  Congratulations and  thank you  for the  information about  the
"tejpwriter" program  (it looks  to be very  useful, although  I cannot
find working  download link) [2].  Probably I have  to give my  UX-50 a
second chance?

It will be also interesting to see  a comparison of the tiny Sony UX-50
with the  Sharp Zaurus SL-C3000.  I have  the SL-C3200 (the  same size,
some more storage).  And this Zaurus itself is  relatively small pocket
computer. But  in comparison with  the tiny UX-50  it is a  huge, heavy
monster... Actually  I prefer  the Zaurus because  of its  keyboard (it
resembles keyboard  of old  good HP  LX handhelds)  and because  of its
Linux OS  which makes it much  more versatile (though not  so elegant).
Yes, it's more a pocketable laptop than  a PDA. At least, it has an USB
slot (with the host feature) so one can connect even keyboard and mouse
(or a USB  Ethernet adapter or a USB  stick with data) and use  it as a
small workstation. There were also available  stand for such use (I got
mine from the Pulster [3] but they are gone now).
